Resolving problems with transport units
-
Log into the IMMS app on an IMMS Device.
-
Select “What is listed in IMMS about…”
-
Scan the transport unit, look at the items that IMMS thinks are on it, and follow the appropriate steps below.
- If the TU is empty, and contained only items to be Shelved
- Check a few to make sure they were shelved. If they were, assume that all items have been shelved.
- Use the IMMS Mobile App’s “Shelve items” wizard to clear the transport unit.
- If the TU is empty, and contained only Holds
- Check a few to make sure they are on the Holdshelf. If they are, assume that all of the items have made it onto the Holdshelf.
- Use the IMMS Mobile App’s “Move to shelf” wizard to clear the transport unit.
- If the TU is empty, and contained “mixed content” (a combination of Shelving,Transit, and/or Holds)
- Put it aside for a Champion or Lead Worker. Include a brief note explaining the problem. The Champion/Lead will follow the “Clearing mixed-content transport units” workflow (requires Item Administration permissions).
- Put it aside for a Champion or Lead Worker. Include a brief note explaining the problem. The Champion/Lead will follow the “Clearing mixed-content transport units” workflow (requires Item Administration permissions).
- If the TU has items in/on it, and contains “mixed content” (a combination of Shelving,Transit, and/or Holds)
- If there are only a few incorrect items, remove them and process them. Then you can handle the TU as normal.
- If there are a lot of incorrect items, or if the TU says it contains more items than it does, put it aside for a Champion or Lead Worker. Include a brief note explaining the problem. The Champion/Lead will follow the “Clearing mixed-content transport units” workflow (requires Item Administration permissions).
