Procedures
Symphony Web
To access SymphonyWeb, use this link: https://symweb-multcolib.sirsi.net/SymphonyWeb/apps/MULTCOLIB
You will likely need to enable pop ups in the browser. Here are the instructions for how to do that using the Chrome browser.
SymphonyWeb is Symphony, just a different interface. The image below shows what the SymphonyWeb interface looks like after logging in. All of the instructions for how to complete tasks in Symphony Workflows can also be used for Symphony Web (unless otherwise specified).
Station names are available in SymphonyWeb, if the device is not listed use PCGUI-DISP and location will be set by staff login.
SymphonyWeb does not work with RFID so barcode scanners must be used.
For more information about using Symphony Web, visit the Symphony Web page in the Circulation Manual.
Offline Circ
- To open Symphony offline, double click on the white Symphony icon on your desktop.
- When the first window opens, choose your Workstation name (look for a label on the computer monitor), then check the Operate in Offline mode box. Then click OK. When the program is open, it will not ask for your login.
- From the list of tasks you can do in Offline Circ mode, select the Offline tab. Then select Offline Session from the Common Tasks group.
- Set Session Settings. Use the arrows and notes in the image below to select the correct information for your location.
- For more instructions on how to Check In, Check Out, Renew items, and Register new users in Offline Circ, visit the Offline Circ page in the Symphony Circulation Manual.
