OverDrive no longer supports OverDrive for the newest Mac iOS. This means you cannot download audiobooks on Macs running newer operating systems. You can still download ebooks using Adobe Digital Editions.

- OverDrive is an e-content service where patrons can borrow ebooks (including Kindle format), downloadable audiobooks, and digital magazines in all of our service languages.
- Libby is the mobile app used to access the OverDrive collection. It is available for Apple and Android devices. The app is not in the Amazon store for Kindle Fire devices, but it can be “sideloaded” by following these instructions.
- OverDrive can be accessed through a web browser or the Libby app. Support for the OverDrive app ended in early 2023.
- Patrons may have 20 checkouts and 20 holds.
- Effective April 15, 2025, Libby/OverDrive holds will expire after two years. This time limit also applies to suspended holds.
- If a patron replaces their library card number, it will automatically update in their OverDrive account the next time they log in.

Application
OverDrive ebooks and audiobooks are accessed through a web browser or the Libby app. See E-books and audiobooks on the public website for more information.
Ebooks and other materials may be downloaded for offline use.
Log in using a library card number and password.
Patrons can have 20 items checked out and 20 holds.

A renew option will appear 3 days before the loan period ends.
OverDrive has a History tab where you can see all the books you’ve downloaded, until you turn it off. For OverDrive app users, this history will continue to be accessible on the OverDrive website, but not carried over to the Libby app when they sign up. Libby activity will be recorded from the point of sign up.
Patrons can sign into Libby with library cards from multiple library systems. When searching for a title, Libby searches all available library systems and offers patrons the quickest option for checking out the title.
OverDrive is unable to remove erroneous email addresses from OverDrive accounts.
- To change your OverDrive email, you must modify a current hold, which will change the email address for future holds.
- All previous holds need to be modified individually.
