Staff Parking at Library Locations

Policy

Parking lots at neighborhood library locations are intended to be for patrons visiting the library and using its services. There is no designated or reserved staff parking at library locations. However, some locations may allow for staff parking in library parking lots, while prioritizing leaving sufficient parking for library patrons during open hours. Whether a location allows for staff parking in library parking lots may be found in the Fast Facts for Library Locations or through talking to the location manager.

Employees who park their cars in a library parking lot that allows for staff parking should use spaces that are farthest from the public entrance to the building.

Rationale

By prioritizing parking spaces for library patrons, staff provide convenient and courteous access for patrons using the library.

Guidelines for staff

A staff member with a disability or pregnancy-related limitation may submit a request for a reasonable accommodation. See Disability Resources Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Information for further guidance on the accommodation process, including how to request an accommodation. If you have other parking questions or needs, please talk with the location manager.
