Talking Books and Braille Library

The Oregon State Library provides talking books for people with visual impairments and other disabilities throughout Oregon, by way of the Talking Books and Braille Library. They provide players and many audio book titles for people who cannot see to read or are unable to hold a book.

They also provide Braille books, descriptive videos and NFB-NEWSLINE®, a digital service to be used by anyone who cannot read a printed newspaper because of a visual or physical disability.

You can give patrons the contact information, and they can then register directly for services.

To reach Talking Books and Braille Services at the Oregon State Library, go to their web site, which has application forms, and lots of other information. You can also reach them at 1.800.452.0292 from anywhere in Oregon.
