Racial equity and LGBTQIA+ toolkit

Collage of library patrons

L+OD and the Equity and Inclusion Manager have developed a toolkit to assist staff in moving through and gaining knowledge of equity, inclusion, and racial justice as well as serving and supporting LGBTQIA+ communities. The toolkit lets you work at your own pace and allows opportunities to work individually, as well as share knowledge and experiences with other staff.

The activities in each workbook are designed to take you no more than 20-30 minutes to complete. These activities include readings, scavenger hunts, videos, assessments, and reflection activities.

If you would like to work on the toolkit as a staff group, this breakdown of the activities may be useful.

You are not required to share specifics of your completed activities with anyone; however, we encourage all staff to use the toolkit to engage in conversations about equity, inclusion, and racial justice.

We are excited to provide this resource and support you in this work!
