New presenters

The events team counts on interactions with location staff and community members to find great presenters. See something cool? Let us know!

  • If a patron would like to become a presenter at the library, refer them to the Program proposals page on our website.
  • You can let them know that we will reply if we are interested. Unfortunately, we are not able to respond to every proposal.

Please email us if you have found a presenter you think we should interview, and ask them to fill out the form! We do get far too many proposals to respond to each one, so this helps us find them in the pile of other proposals.

Location staff should not try to negotiate fees with presenters, as this can lead to confusion and dismay when the presenter is actually hired. Location staff do not have authority to set fees.

We hire locally, so out-of-area presenters are not going to be on a highlight list or part of a our programming in general. We do hire touring artists if they are already going to be in town or if they can otherwise present a program for a local rate.

Hiring a presenter can take a very long time. A new presenter will probably not show up as requestable for at least two seasons
