From the Access/Circulation Committee charter:

Charter Statement: The Access/Circulation Committee will recommend system-wide policies, set system-wide procedures, and advocate for excellent customer service in all areas of library circulation. We will provide clarity, information, and resources for our organization and community.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Advocate for all patrons to have equitable access to library services.
  • Advocate for policies and procedures that make it easier for staff to help patrons access library services.
  • Recommend circulation policy changes to the Public Services Management Team.
  • Update circulation policies as recommended by the Public Services Management Team.
  • Continuously evaluate, update, and set circulation procedures.
  • Proactively communicate with library staff about current and updated circulation policies and procedures.
  • Respond to staff questions and concerns about circulation policies and procedures.

​Access/Circulation Committee members include: the Integrated Services, Access Services staff - Administrator,  Library Assistant, Specialist, Systems Analyst - the Access Services trainer, Access Service Assistants, Contact Center staff, and frontline staff and administrators.

Access/Circulation Committee meets virtually on the 4th Thursday from 11 am-1 pm. All staff are welcome to attend and submit items.
