How to Pack Crates

  1. Before putting any materials in a crate, be sure the end panels are locked in place.
  2. Books should be loaded in crates spine to spine.
  3. Crates should be packed up to just below the handle (2 inches of headroom).  This gives the driver a space to put his hand in the crate to pick it up.  NOTE:  if you are packing a crate full of picture books or other large books, pack it only ¾ full.  Picture books are especially heavy and it's difficult to move a full crate of them.
