Agreement for Use of Public Computers at Multnomah County Library

• Use only my own library card number or guest card number to log in,
• Stop viewing any site that creates a hostile environment for other library users and staff if a staff member asks me to stop,
• Follow the rules of the web sites I visit,
• Avoid harassing others with prints, images or messages,
• View and print only legal material,
• Comply with U.S. Copyright Law,
• Comply with Library computer use time limits.

I understand that the library is a public place that serves children as well as adults. I agree to make appropriate choices about the sites I view when others are present. I understand that if I do not follow the rules for Internet use, I may lose my Internet privileges, be excluded from all County libraries  and/or be prosecuted.

Internet Use Agreement

I will not give out any personal information (last name, telephone number, address) while I am on the Internet.&;

• I will only use my own library card number to go on the \ Internet.
• I will not give my library card number to anyone else to go on the Internet.
• I will only use two hours of library Internet time each day.
• I will never meet anyone in person that I have met online unless my parent comes too.
• I will tell an adult right away if I see something that makes me feel uncomfortable.
• I will not go to web sites that say they are for people age 18 or older.
• I will not do anything that is against the law while using the library's Internet access.
• I will not copy something I find online and pretend I created it.
