Policy

Each location within MCL will have at least one Library Environmental Team contact person.  Central and Isom will have two or more because of their size and variety of operations.

Rationale

In order to disseminate information, help implement necessary changes and facilitate sustainable practices we have a contact(s) at each location.

Application

The contact person for the Library Environmental Team will be expected to be:

• their location's "keeper" of the Multnomah County's sustainability manual
• able to respond to questions about Library Environmental Team initiatives, or know who to ask to get the information
• able to make the necessary changes to their location as they are implemented system-wide
• receptive to new ideas, questions and criticisms and know how to communicate these ideas to the Library Environmental Team
• able to present new Library Environmental Team ideas at staff meetings, in small groups, and one-on-one
