Problems with Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers at library locations

The Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers installed at some library location are supplied by a vendor, currently OpConnect.  Some aspects of their operation are handled by the vendor, some aspects are handled by County Facilities.  Who should you contact for specific issues?

  1. If a charger is physically damaged, e.g cable cut or charging post/head damaged, or there is no orange light indicating power is available - report the problem to Facilities Dispatch, be sure to include which library and the charger number (usually 5 digits found on the charger's faceplate).
    • If the charger was physically damaged, create an incident report as well.
  2. If a user lets you know the charger is not operating correctly, e.g. won't connect, charging incorrect rates, etc. - and there is an orange light indicating power is available, have the user note the charger number and call the OpConnect phone number on the charger faceplate. OpConnect can walk the user through troubleshooting. OpConnect can reset the charger on their end.
    • Please email Lib-Facilities with the basic information about the issue so we can notify the FPM Electricians' manager.
    • If OpConnect is unable to resolve a non-electrical power related issue - then please put in a Tririga request to the Electricians for the charger, include the charger number and then let Lib-Facilities know you've done this.
