Customer use of own equipment in library

Policy

Customers may use their own equipment in the library only when the use of this equipment does not interfere with other customers' use of the library.

Application

  1. Customers may not play electronic sound equipment audibly.
  2. Facilities differ in their ability to provide electrical outlets or table space for large projects. Customers must ask rather than assume that such things will be provided.
  3. Customers may not move furniture or use outlets where there are library public access computers in order to accommodate use of personal equipment.
  4. Lines, cables or extra attachments that could be hazardous to other customers or staff may not be used.
  5. The use of cell phones in the library can be extremely annoying to others. Ask customers to step outside the library when using these devices at a loud volume. Cell phone use is allowed inside the library at modest volume.
