About My MCL/BiblioCommons

My MCL (also called BiblioCommons, the name of the vendor) is the public catalog for Multnomah County Library. 

My MCL is a discovery layer where patrons and staff can access e-books, online magazines, films and other online resources. It is separate from Symphony, but connects to it to display items in the catalog and account information.

Patrons can use My MCL to search for physical items and electronic resources. They can place holds, renew, and pay fees. Patrons can track items they have read or want to read later. They can also make lists of items and see lists and reviews from all BiblioCommons libraries.

Staff can use My MCL to make lists of recommended titles, such as for holidays, events, and readalikes.
