Rationale

Reducing paper use supports goals included in the adopted Local Action Plan on Global Warming, reduces our overall waste, and minimizes the impacts of paper production on the environment.

Application

• all printers should be set to duplex (double-sided printing) and black and white as default (IT can do this if they are not)
• send one sided paper to the Print Shop. The Print Shop will cut and use it to fill orders for 3x5 scratch paper. Acceptable paper for this will have one side FULLY blank, have no sensitive information, and no staples or paper clips.
• use re-purposed notepads available from the Print Shop  Order notepads here.
• save work in electronic files if possible
• email instead of print and interoffice mail
