IMMS Quick Guide - Editing user accounts

  • This process requires User Administration permissions. All IMMS Champions have these permissions.

Editing IMMS user accounts

  1. Log into the IMMS Web Client on a laptop, desktop, or mobile device.
  2. From the menu on the left, choose IMMS Master Data, then Users. An alphabetical list of users will appear, with a search field. 
  3. Check the “Include disabled users” box.
  4. Start typing a name (or partial name) in the search field.
    1. IMMS searches name and username at the same time, as you are typing.
    2. IMMS searches by character string, so a search for “art” will return all results with those letters grouped in that order (ARThur, cARTer, hARTley, mARTinez, etc).
  5. When you find the correct account, double-click on it (or select it and click the Edit button on the right-hand side of the screen).
    1. If the user has forgotten their password, set the password to Temp1 and mark the “Change at next login” box.
    2. Uncheck the “User blocked” box (if necessary).
    3. Update the user location (if necessary).
    4. Save the changes.
    5. Send or tell the user the Temp1 password.
