Library staff should be familiar with guidance for employees regarding ICE agents and immigration enforcement on the Multnomah County commons page: "Guidance and resources regarding federal immigration agents".

In the event of ICE contact, staff who are not a PIC or manager and who encounter the agent(s) should say: “You are permitted to be in this public space while I ask my supervisor (or the person in charge) for assistance.”

The manager or PIC should call Shawn Cunningham immediately at 971-806-9432. He will coordinate with county attorneys, Chair Vega Pederson’s office or other officials as needed. If Shawn is not available, call the EMT PIC at 503-201-0522.
