- Bags are available in nine libraries: Central, Hillsdale, Holgate, Midland, Gresham, Hollywood, Rockwood, St. Johns, & Troutdale.
- Bags can be checked out and put on hold by patrons, just as any other circulating item in the library's collection.
Procedure
The kits include: books and an activity sheet. They can be checked out and put on hold, just as any other circulating item in the library's collection.
During check in, staff should make sure the items in the bag match what is on the label.
Storytime: Zoom bags & Leyendo Aprendo sets returned with pieces missing are sent to OPS/Integrated Services/Sort Center/Disco Team.
Themes that have been updated/added including but not limited to:
- STEM
- Gender (preschool)
- Social justice (preschool)
Policy
Storytime bags give child care providers and parents an opportunity to introduce topics to young children by offering over 75 bags for babies, toddlers and preschoolers on themes such as trains, dinosaurs, and weather.
Storytime bags are circulated for 21 days and may be reserved as any other material.
The replacement cost is $20.00.
