By using MAC/OPS as a holds pick-up point for personal holds I agree to the following:
- Staff holds will be on the staff holds shelves awaiting pick up
- I agree to remove only those items from the holds shelves that have my name on them and to not browse the holds shelves. If I have specific permission from another staff to pick up their holds, I may take those as well.
- OPS staff are not responsible for any holds that are missing from the holds pick up shelves. Check with a staff person if your hold(s) are missing.
- Pick up of personal holds at OPS are for staff only. Staff family members cannot use OPS as their hold pick up location and should direct their holds to a public library.
- I will use the self-checkout machine to check out my holds or items from the library collection. All items must be checked out before leaving OPS.
By selecting Admin as the pick-up point for my Hold I agree to the following:
- I will only receive holds needed for work and checked out to an Administrative library card, not on personal, family or friend's cards. If the Administrative card account is in compliance with library policy, Sort Center staff will check out holds to my account without notifying me.
- I will routinely check my Administrative card account(s) or the ADMIN HOLDS SHELF as neither the ILS nor the Sort Center staff will notify me when my holds are checked out and ready for me to pick up.
- Sort Center staff is not responsible for any holds that are missing from the ADMIN HOLDS SHELF.
- To remove only those items from the ADMIN HOLDS SHELF that are checked out to an administrative card for which I am responsible. If I have specific permission from another staff member to pick up holds for which they are responsible, I may take those as well.
- To not remove items from the Sort Center work area without them being properly checked out. If I would like an item from the new materials trucks lining the wall, I will not remove it from the truck, I will instead place a hold on the item. If I want an item in a returns crate, I will ask a Sort Center staff member to check it out to me before removing it from the room.
- To place any items I wish to return on the ADMIN RETURNS SHELF and not anywhere else. I will not remove items from this shelf. You may return items checked out to either personal or administrative accounts.
In return the Sort Center Staff agree to:
- Provide Check-in for your returns on the day you place them on the STAFF RETURNS SHELF. Returns may be checked in near the end of the business day.
- Provide check-out for your work-related holds to your administrative card account the same day the items are checked in by the Sort Center staff. Holds checked in on Saturdays and Sundays may not be checked out until the following Monday.
