Evacuation Responsibility:
The person in charge is responsible for seeing that the entire building is evacuated:
Public area
- Main room
- Restrooms
- Teen Space
- Reading Room
- Lactation Space
- Sensory Room
- Community rooms
- North
Staff area
- Workroom & offices
- Break room
- Restroom
- Quiet room
- Lactation space
- Basement utility area
Evacuation Exits:
- Exit main public areas through the south main doors, west emergency exits into the courtyard, the door at the west end of the hallway near the lage community rooms and southwest emergency exit door from the reading room
- Exit the courtyards via the west exit gates into Midland Park or via the south gate towards the parking lot
- Exit Community Rooms 1A, 1B and 1C through the doors towards the parking lot or via the hallway on their north side
- Exit staff workroom through main staff door
- Exit staff restrooms, break room through the north door into the main public area or through the staff workroom
- Exit the mechanical space on the north side via the north exit door
- Exit Basement utility area through the west door
Meeting Place:
Southeast corner of the parking lot (be mindful of vehicles as you transit the parking lot)
Fire Extinguishers:
- Workroom next to the east storage closet door - ABC type.
- Public area: behind the main Service Desk - ABC type.
- Public area: southeast near the door into the staff break room - ABC type.
- Public area: north - on the wall near the west/left side of the Gathering Circle
- Public area: west/Children's area - on the wall near the Lactation Space
- Public area: west/Reading Room - on the wall near the door - ABC type
- Public area: Gallery hallway - on the north wall of the hallway near the sliding door next to the all-user restroom - ABC type
- Basement utility area - ABC type.
First Aid Kits:
- At the main service desk near the front doors
- In the cabinets of the east and west Connection Points
- In the staff workroom
