Evacuation Procedures
Evacuation Responsibility:
The person in charge (PIC) is responsible for overseeing the building evacuation, collecting reports from work groups and 'sweepers' and communicating with the emergency responders. Depending on the situation, the PIC may choose to post someone by the building entrances to stop other staff or FOL store patrons from entering.
Areas to request reports for:
- First Floor
- AMH/main stacks
- Loading dock/Pallet storage
- INTS main area & huddle room
- Small breakroom area
- Print shop
- Northeast cubicle section and meeting, lactation and wellness rooms
- North cubicle
- Bike storage/restrooms, Mechanical room, Electrical room, Telecommunications closet
- Rose City Reads/FOL store areas
- Second Floor
- Southeast cubicle, meeting room and stacks areas
- Large breakroom, lunchroom and terrace areas
- Northeast lactation, wellness, meeting and huddle rooms
- Training office, all-user restrooms and large Training Room
Evacuation Exits:
- Exit through the front door on the Northeast side of the building (parking lot and 122nd Ave).
- Exit through the middle/staff door by the bike room (parking lot)
- Exit through the emergency exit on the east/122nd Ave side of the building.
- Exit through the south/loading dock area to the complex's south driveway
Additional exits that unlock when the Fire Alarm is activated or with authorized staff badges outside of fire alarms:
- Exit from the north end of pallet storage area through the Friends store front door via their workroom
- Exit from the northwest corner of the centralized first floor stacks area through the Friends store front door via their workroom
Meeting Place:
Northeast corner of the parking lot just before you reach the KFC. (May shift depending where the mobile library is parked) Parking lot drawing
Note: The driveway crossing between the OPS building and the parking lot is very active. Look both ways before crossing.

First Aid Kits:
- 1st floor: AMH area, near Logistic office, Tech Services, 1st floor breakroom (on top of fridge), Youth Services, print shop.
- 2nd Floor: breakroom (center island), lib facilities area, 2nd floor mailroom,
