Quick Facts

• From the Checkout and Display user wizards, click on the underlined status of the hold to see the patron's position in the hold queue.
• Close the glossary and press ALT+F11, then OK, to open the Display Title Holds wizard to:
  • See number of holdable items and holds.
  • Right click to reorder the hold queue and other actions.
• The number of holds shown on My MCL are just the unavailable holds, however the Display Title Holds wizard includes suspended and available holds in the total.

Procedure

To See a Hold Position

1. In Checkout or Display user, click on underlined status (unavailable or suspended) to see the hold glossary. The Position field shows the patron’s place in the hold queue. In the example below, the patron is 5th in line.

To See the Number of Copies and Holds

To see the number of holds and copies for an item, you can jump directly to the Display Title Holds wizard from the Check Out and/or Display User Wizard.

1. Select the item and press ALT+ F11 to open the Display Title Holds: Item Search wizard.

2. Select the the current item. 

3. You can see see the total number of holdable items (5) and title holds (11). Right click to modify the hold, change the hold queue, and other actions.

The title holds is the important number. System range holds were placed in Symphony and group range holds were placed in My MCL.
