Main (first) floor
Evacuation Responsibility:
The person in charge is responsible for seeing that the entire building is evacuated. Main floor areas include:
- Public area
- Black Cultural Center
- Elevator
- Staff workroom
- Restrooms
Evacuation Exits:
- Exit public area through front doors on Killingsworth.
- Exit staff room door to yard. The yard is entirely fenced. Use Killingsworth gate which requires no key.
- Exit restroom area through Commercial Avenue exit (alarm will sound).
Meeting Place:
Tennis courts on N Commercial Avenue
Fire Extinguisher:
- To the right of the copy machine alcove.
- On wall to right of public bathroom.
- In workroom, on wall to left of mailboxes.
First Aid Kit:
Workroom, above staff mailboxes.
Upper (second) floor
Evacuation Responsibility:
The person in charge is responsible for seeing that the entire building is evacuated. Upper floor areas include:
- Community Room
- Staff lunchroom
- Restrooms
Evacuation Exits:
Exit down stairs to Commercial Avenue exit (alarm will sound).
Exit auditorium through fire exit doors, walk across roof and down metal stairs to yard. Yard is entirely fenced. Use Killingsworth gate (delivery exit) which requires no key.
Meeting Place:
Tennis courts on N Commercial Avenue
Fire Extinguisher:
In hallway to staff lunchroom.
In auditorium to right of fire exit door.
First Aid Kit:
In far right wall cabinet above microwave.
Basement
Evacuation Responsibility:
The person in charge is responsible for seeing that the entire building is evacuated. Basement level areas include:
Large basement HVAC area, electrical closet, telecom room, and elevator mechanical room 2 (back basement)
Rear of the basement has the boiler room with a separate primary entrance/exit.
CLOSE FIRE DOORS.
Evacuation Exits:
Exit up the stairs to Commercial Avenue exit (alarm will sound).
Exit through back basement mechanical room to yard. The yard is entirely fenced. Use Killingsworth gate (delivery exit) which requires no key.
Meeting Place:
Outside McMenamins across the street on N Commercial Avenue
Fire Extinguisher:
On wall to the left of the elevator mechanical room.
First Aid Kit:
Not available on this level; a first aid kit is available on the main floor.
