Library leadership has an on-duty PIC each week to respond to emergency needs. For emergencies during the work day, or after hours, please notify the EMT PIC. The on-duty EMT PIC will notify other EMT members as needed. 

Call the EMT PIC if:

• There has been a critical incident (as outlined in this document).
• If your location has experienced a major facilities issue (power outage, air quality, broken water main, possible gas leak, etc.).
• If you need approval from the Multnomah County Chair to close the location.
• The location is below operations emergency staffing numbers, and after following the outlined process in this document, you are requesting approval to close or go to door service. 
• A police presence was required at the location.
• Law enforcement requests video footage or patron information.
• A child under 10 years old is left at the location after closing.
